Maitland's Junior Hockey will start in Term 2 from 30th April on Wednesdays with sessions by age group starting from 5:00pm and are a great option for new players as they include learning to play / coaching followed by games. We cater for all ages from 4yo to High School, with all sessions at the Maitland Hockey Centre in Elgin St Maitland.

Prior to Term 2, we also have a couple of free events for our Juniors coming up in March (see below) and are also working on getting a High School comp going for Saturday mornings.

First step is to register at Registration - Maitland Hockey Inc

For 12 years & under, we will be running Hockey Australia's Hookin2Hockey program this year.

• Cost for 8 years & under is $106.24 which includes full year registration and turf fees for Term 2.
• Cost for 12 years & under is $91.34 which includes registration and turf fees for Term 2 only. There is also an option to purchase an equipment pack at the time of registration which includes a stick, shin pads and ball.

For 13's to 18's, registration is $129.87, which covers the whole year - Winter (Term 2) & Summer (Term 4) comps. There will also be a $60 per Term turf fee which we will invoice once the season starts.

We will provide the uniform (loan) and do also have sticks for loan. Players need to have shin pads and mouthguard (which we sell for $10). We also sell stick packs, which include stick and shin pads, for approx $45.

Once registered you just need to turn up when it starts. We usually sort things out on the first night.

Finally we have an annual Carnival in August where junior teams from around the region come along to play.
