A great opportunity for Maitland players and umpires coming in August with Zeke Newman (Umpire & Officials Development Manager HNSW) to conduct two sessions:
1. Player Education session via Zoom on Wednesday 23rd August
2. Umpire Accreditation Assessments at Maitland on Saturday 26th August
All players and umpires are encouraged to attend the education session as an opportunity for Q&A with Zeke and consistent understanding of the Rules. Players are also encouraged to complete the Foundation Support Umpire online course which is free and available by logging into your account on the HockeyNSW website and heading to HockeyEd.
Umpires wanting to gain an umpiring accreditation should complete both the Foundation Support and Foundation Lead Umpire online courses before the 26th August and confirm with the Umpire’s Convenor that you want to be assessed by Zeke when he is at Maitland. MHI will reimburse the $50 fee on completion.
This really is an opportunity not to be missed and the more of us that can take part, the more we will all get out of it.
