As we approach NAIDOC this weekend, our Scorchers Women’s team have shared how Aboriginal artist and experienced hockey player, Sonia Sharpe designed, with input from her team, their team singlet embracing Aboriginal art and history into their story of how their Scorchers Hockey team comes together each week to play hockey at Maitland.
Maitland Hockey will be supporting NAIDOC Week this Saturday 1st July, with an Acknowledgement of Country before each game to recognise the contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to our great game of hockey.
